During the course of the semester, we have addressed many reasons that people believe in a soul.

Several different lectures and the associated readings have dealt with beliefs in the soul.  Take information from all parts of the course and write a cohesive essay on why the majority of people believe in a soul.  Include information from Historical Foundations, Wade-The evolution of religious behavior, Cosmides & Tooby -evolutionary psychology, Terror Management Theory and Bloom-Religion is Natural

Write a well-documented (cite readings) essay that demonstrates in-depth knowledge that you have gained from the course.  Develop this theme in a logical and cohesive essay with your conclusions indicated at the end of the essay.  List the citations of the lectures and readings that you used in crafting your essay.
